Tom Davies will present: Orientalism in American Art and the Silvermine Art Colony

Exclusively for the NCMC members, their spouses, significant others, and friends. Tom is a collector, writer, lecturer on American art for 50 years and has been an organizer and lender to art exhibitions in the USA and abroad. NCMC members will recall he curated “Art America” an extensive exhibit of his collection at the Historical society last spring. The event is free.

Les de Villiers will present: African Creatures Great and Small 
Les is the NCMC’s one and only “Sultan of Safaris” and President of Ultimate Safaris. Les has authored more than a dozen books ranging from novels, politics and economics to wildlife and conservation. His latest, African Animal Alphabet is an illustrated book of rhymes about animals ranging from Aardvark to Zebra. For 12 years he’s been arranging safaris. A self-confessed safari addict, he insists “that the day we start behaving like animals, the world will be a better place”.

Zuhair Suidan will present: Where To? A perspective on the Arab World
He will address the History of the Middle East, recent political developments, and future implications. His outlook is framed by a life of cultural and geopolitical experiences as an American, a Palestinian, an Israeli and an Arab Christian.
