Welcome! Welcome to our website and, if you are new to the area, welcome to New Canaan.
The New Canaan Men’s Club was founded in 1977 by a group of men who met regularly at the YMCA to play racquetball. While the Club has grown since then, providing friendship and fellowship to members remains a core mission of our Club. We meet on Friday mornings in Morrill Hall at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, but we are nonreligious, nonpartisan, as well as a non-profit community organization (501(c)(3). Each Friday meeting has a speaker covering interesting and timely topics that entertain, educate and inspire us.

John Kavanagh, Author of
Path to Power, Road to Ruin
John Kavanagh is the former CEO of Marketing Corporation of America (MCA), a $100MM management consulting and research company, located in Westport, CT and Chicago, IL. He earned a BA degree from Yale University and an MBA in Finance from Columbia University.
After the Interpublic Group acquired MCA, John returned to studying history. At that time, he became very concerned about the rise of totalitarianism globally and the growing influence of ideologies in bringing dictators to power. This motivated him to spend several years researching political and religious ideologies. Drawing on this extensive research, his proven analytical skills, and his historical knowledge, he wrote Path to Power, Road to Ruin
